Quire, where domain packs are gathered

Quire is where a pack is written. It holds the lexicon, the qualia relations, the frames and the rules, and it runs the consistency checks continuously rather than at build time. An author sees a contradiction when they introduce it, not three weeks later when a test fails.

When a pack is finished, Quire signs it. The signature goes into the artefact hash, which is what the derivation log records, which is what a regulator eventually reads. The chain from an author’s keystroke to a compliance record is unbroken and short.

A quire is a set of leaves folded and gathered together to be bound. That is exactly what a pack is: a gathering of authored material assembled in a fixed order. The collation mark in our own identity comes from the same craft, where a correct gathering shows an unbroken diagonal and a wrong one visibly breaks.

Folio, Quarto and Octavo are the folds. Quire is the gathering. The vocabulary is consistent because the metaphor is doing real work rather than decorating a product line.
