Regulatory and standards lead
Ackren is built for places where an answer has to be traceable to its cause. This role owns Aleten's regulatory position and standards work, and owns it in public, with sources and a visible last-reviewed date.

What you would do

Track the AI Act, dated
Hold the current state with sources: Article 50 transparency on 2 August 2026, which applies to us; Annex III stand-alone high-risk deferred to 2 December 2027; Annex I embedded to 2 August 2028; Article 50(2) and new prohibitions on 2 December 2026. Every date carries its source and the day the page was last reviewed.

Map the standards
Place Ackren against the certification standards that assume requirements traceability: IEC 62304, DO-178C, ISO 26262, EN 50128. Where an LLM is not an admissible alternative, authoring cost becomes the expected cost of certification.

Keep the records claim honest
Article 12 records fall out of the stage-eight derivation log natively, where other vendors are retrofitting. Keep that claim accurate as the log evolves.

Own the page
The regulatory page has one named owner, a review cadence, a visible last-reviewed date and a clear note that it is not legal advice. A summary that goes stale is worse than no page, because a compliance officer may rely on it.
Requirements
What we are looking for
You read regulation closely and write about it without rounding off. Fluency in the EU AI Act, and in one or more of the functional-safety and software-certification standards, is the core of the role, along with the judgement to say when determinism buys nothing. You do not need to be a lawyer, but you work well alongside one.

Terms
How we work
Fully remote, worldwide, with a few hours of overlap with UK hours, GMT or BST. The work is public: your summaries carry sources, dates and known gaps, in the house style. Work you produce for Aleten is assigned to Aleten, said here rather than later.
The claims this role does not make
Determinism buys nothing on Article 50 transparency. It applies to us regardless, and the page has to say so. The Act regulates use cases, not architectures, so 'the only legal AI' is not a claim we make or defend. This seat writes positions that survive a hostile reader, not marketing, and it is not a source of legal advice.
